final 2012 fall photo shoot

I needed to squeeze in one last family shoot before the new baby and winter made an appearance. If you are a regular reader of the blog, this family may look familiar. Like all photographers who use nature as their set, I was limited by mother nature who initially gave this family an ugly, cold, wet Autumn day back in October. She made up for it with an unseasonably warm weekend in November. So here's another look at one of my favorite families, who always look good, regardless of the weather.

chilly fall day, warm smiles and hearts

I headed out on a very chilly afternoon last week to shoot some photos of a beautiful family! You would never know how biting the wind was by the beautiful smiles and cheery moods of the Young family. They opted to spend some time at the University of Michigan diag as most of them are alums. Thanks for bearing the cold and being a delight to be around, Young family!!!

fall fun - leaves, layers, and family sessions

It's getting chillier, and I'm squeezing in a few shoots before the arrival of my second daughter! My third family session was a blast with a fellow resident's family whom I love spending time with. Colin and Cate are Evie's playmates, who along with their awesome mother, we love to see on a weekly basis. We headed out to the arboretum on a relatively chilly but beautifully lit afternoon to take some family shots.

ann arbor family photo shoot, take 2!

The more I shoot family sessions, the more I love them! I actually really enjoy being able to spend a little time with a friend's family and their little one, uninterrupted by my own little one. Beautiful Emma and her parents were no exception! We had a great time exploring the Ann Arbor Arboretum on probably the last 70 degree day of October. The weather was beautiful, as were they!

Thank you Aaron, Jenny, and Emma for being such a pleasure to spend an afternoon with!
